Why TaxEase exists
Deep Patel founded TaxEase in 2023 after years of watching small business owners and real estate investors pay more in taxes than they ever needed to. Not because they were doing anything wrong — but because their accountants were treating tax filing as a once-a-year compliance task instead of a year-round strategic conversation.
TaxEase was built to be the firm Deep wished existed when he was advising his first clients: proactive instead of reactive, plain-spoken instead of jargon-heavy, and structured so that the founder is the person actually doing the work — not handing it off the moment you sign the engagement letter.
Who we work with
Our clients fall into two camps that overlap more than people realize. The first is small business owners: founders, consultants, contractors, e-commerce operators, and service businesses doing anywhere from $250K to $10M in revenue. The second is real estate investors: from someone closing on their first rental property to landlords building portfolios across multiple states.
Many of our clients are both — which is part of why we built the firm this way. Real estate is one of the most powerful tools a small business owner can use to build wealth, and the tax strategy across both sides of someone's financial life needs to be coordinated, not siloed.
How we work
Most engagements start with a free 30-minute consultation. We'll listen to your situation, ask honest questions, and tell you what we think — whether or not we end up being the right fit. If we move forward, we'll send a clear written proposal with flat-fee pricing wherever possible. No mystery invoices, no hourly billing creep.
From there, we operate on a quarterly rhythm: check-ins to keep your numbers clean, planning sessions to keep your tax position optimized, and year-end strategy meetings every November before the books close. By the time April rolls around, your return is already done — because the real work happened months earlier.
